SeAH Aerospace & Defense Signs Long-Term Supply Agreement with Boeing for Aircraft-Grade Aluminum Alloys

Starting in 2026, to supply high-strength aluminum alloy materials for aircraft fuselage and wings to Boeing in the United States Securing stable supply volumes of high-strength aluminum alloys and establishing a trust-based partnership with Boeing, a global aircraft manufacturer Demonstrating global-level material traceability and quality management capabilities, with expectations to expand supply scope through diversification of aerospace material portfolio

SeAH Aerospace & Defense, a subsidiary of SeAH Besteel Holdings, announced on the 15th that it has signed a Long-Term Agreement (LTA) with Boeing, the world's largest aircraft manufacturer, to supply high-strength aluminum alloy materials for aerospace applications.

Under the agreement, SeAH Aerospace & Defense will supply aluminum alloy materials used in aircraft fuselage and wing structures to Boeing starting in 2026 for the duration of the contract. This agreement follows a direct contract signed between the two companies in 2024 and reflects Boeing's confidence in SeAH Aerospace & Defense's proven quality performance, on-time delivery capabilities, and supply reliability, which have laid the foundation for a long-term strategic partnership.

High-strength aluminum alloys used in aircraft structural components are directly related to safety and therefore require exceptional precision and consistent quality. Comprehensive traceability and data transparency across the entire lifecycle—from raw material receipt and extrusion to heat treatment, machining, and inspection—are essential. SeAH Aerospace & Defense has met Boeing's stringent requirements by leveraging its globally competitive traceability and quality management systems, further demonstrating its competitiveness in the global aerospace materials market.

The agreement is also significant in securing stable production volumes for SeAH Aerospace & Defense's new aluminum manufacturing facility currently under construction in Changnyeong, Southern region in Korea. The facility, with an annual capacity of 2,300 tons, is scheduled to commence full-scale operations in 2027. Securing demand in advance is expected to enable early stabilization of operations and improved cost competitiveness, while enhancing the company's ability to respond flexibly to structurally growing global demand for aerospace materials.

SeAH Aerospace & Defense's strategic shift toward a high value-added aerospace and defense-focused materials portfolio is translating into tangible business results. In addition to Boeing, the company supplies materials to a broad range of global aircraft manufacturers, including Airbus Defence and Space, COMAC of China, Embraer of Brazil, and Bombardier of Canada. As of the cumulative third quarter this year, the company recorded revenue of KRW 98.9 billion, operating profit of KRW 20.3 billion, and an operating margin of 20.6 percent, marking the highest performance since its establishment.

A representative of SeAH Besteel Holdings stated, "This long-term agreement with Boeing is a meaningful milestone that demonstrates SeAH Aerospace & Defense's entry into a sustained growth trajectory as a core player in the global aerospace materials market. We will continue to strengthen partnerships with global aircraft manufacturers, expand our supply scope, and accelerate entry into new platforms and portfolio diversification."
